Catch up on what's going on at Isithatha Theatre

Writer's picture: Gavin RotherGavin Rother

We have just hosted an incredible production of "Curl Up and Dye", directed by Robin Williams. It was an unmitigated success and brought incredible exposure to our black box theatre. We were very happy to showcase Isithatha to SIX FULL HOUSES!! Thank you, Robin, for choosing our space - it opened our eyes as to how it can be used!!

Next up, on 9 September, is GIDA FIRE - this will be an outside production in the late afternoon. Gida Fire is an electrifying stage show that vividly brings to life the vibrant energy of Zulu dance, the spirit of Ubuntu, and the power of teamwork. Tickets are available on our Events and Tickets page.

In between all this activity, we continue in our efforts to raise funds for the various projects we have running. Just come along on Friday afternoons to see for yourself - maybe you'll get involved somehow!!!

We also have an incredible beader doing work in our wooden cottage. Trevor will be only too happy to show you his handiwork.

And then, of course, there is our little Book Shack, where you can pick up something to read and leave a donation of any Rand size!!

Our costume wardrobe is getting sorted out to make it easier for the public to access. We have a large selection of costumes for hire - contact Sharon on 082 774 9083 to make an appointment.
